Punjab Assembly elections: Will SAD-BSP alliance be able to recreate magic this time?

Ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Punjab, Akali Dal and Bahujan Samaj Party have announced a pre-poll alliance. Even before this, there has been an alliance between the two parties. In the 1996 Lok Sabha elections also, both the parties had entered the electoral fray together. During that time, the then BSP supremo Kanshi Ram had reached the Lok Sabha after winning the elections from Punjab.
