Pinki Karmakar held the torch of India in 2012 London Olympics, now working in Assam tea gardens
Pinki Karmakar from Dibrugarh district of Assam was selected as India's representative to carry the torch at the London Olympics. A Class X student from Borborua tea garden in Dibrugarh, India was the only representative of the 20 countries selected for the Olympic torch relay in recognition of her community work under the International Inspiration Program, the official heritage program of the London 2012 Olympics.
