Manish Tewari: Citizenship should not be given on the basis of religion
Opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and hitting at Modi government, Congress spokesperson Manish Tewari said that why religiously persecuted immigrants from countries like Sri Lanka, Bhutan and other neighbouring countries were not included. He also said that citizenship should not be given on the basis of religion.
"Preference to military over democracy is being given by the current government. CDS appointment will have an adverse effect on weak government," said tewari in ABP News' Conclave Shikhar Sammelan.
