Maharashtra: Teachers sit on 'fast unto death' demanding salary

Hundreds of teachers from Maharashtra are sitting on fast unto death in Azad Maidan in Mumbai. These teachers, who teach in primary and upper secondary schools of Maharashtra, have stated that their salary is stuck for many years. They say they have not received their salary yet and the government is not listening. They are now forced to sit on fast unto death.

Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Fadnavis also reached Azad Maidan today to discuss the problems of these teachers.
