Kartik Purnima: NDRF teams deployed in Ayodhya

The National Disaster Response Force is a specialised force constituted "for the purpose of specialist response to a threatening disaster situation or disaster" under the Disaster Management Act, 2005. Devotees take a dip in holy rivers and lakes on Kartik Purnima. It is believed to be an auspicious thing to do on this day.
