K4 missile test: Know all about 3,500 km nuclear-capable missile

The test-fire of 3,500-kilometre range ballistic missile known as K-4 from a nuclear-capable submarine was successful. K-4 is one of the two underwater missiles currently being developed by India for its submarine force while the other one is BO-5 with a strike range of over 300 kilometre. With this successful launch, India’s nuclear triad is now complete. The nuclear triad is the capability to launch nuclear weapons from air, surface and underwater. The K-4 missile can carry a warhead weighing up to 2 tonnes and is powered by solid rocket
