ISRO to send first half-humanoid 'Vyommitra' into space
Indian space agency ISRO is going to send a half-humanoid female into space as part of its human space mission programme Gaganyaan. The lady robot - Vyommitra - was unveiled by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in Bengaluru on Wednesday. Vyommitra, a combination of two Sanskrit words Vyoma (Space) and Mitra (Friend), took everyone by surprise when she introduced herself to the audience gathered there.
