Union Budget 2022: Did Modi-govt meet expectations of all sectors?

The disappointment among Middle Class was obvious as the Union Budget 2022 failed to provide any tax relief to the salaried class. Individual taxpayers, who account for almost 35-40% of direct tax revenue, had hoped for some tax relief to help offset the economic harm caused by the COVID-19 outbreak. However, when presenting the Union Budget 2022, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman made no modifications to income tax rates or slabs.
