Uddhav Thackeray to be new Chief Minister of Maharashtra, says sources
Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray will be appointed as next Chief minister of Maharashtra as informed by sources. Sena's Jayant Patil and Congress's Balasaheb Thorat to be Deputy Chief Ministers.
The development came after a major political defeat for the Bharatiya Janata Party as its newly appointed Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday resigned from his post, soon after his deputy Ajit Pawar tendered resignation, barely 80 hours after they were sworn in on Nov. 23 early morning.
