The Chandigarh Question: Who started the age-old debate once again?

The issue of Chandigarh between Punjab and Haryana is quite old. Once again it has become the talk of the town. The reason is new AAP government in Punjab.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has reacted on the issue of Chandigarh between Punjab and Haryana. Ahead of the one-day special session of the Haryana Legislative Assembly, CM Khattar had also questioned the intention of the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab. He had expressed apprehension that there was a "hidden motive" behind the resolution passed by the AAP government regarding Chandigarh in the Punjab Assembly.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that the issue of Chandigarh was to be resolved by sitting amongst themselves and not to pass a resolution unilaterally in the assembly. He added, "They came to power recently and already began raising such controversial issues, I think he has some hidden motive."
