Terrorist shot dead in J&K, encounter underway

Indian security forces have shot dead a terrorist in Jammu and Kashmir's Shar Pampore area. This is the third encounter in the valley within three days. The operation is still underway.
Since Tuesday night, Indian forces had cornered two to three terrorists after getting a tip-off. As soon as terrorists were surrounded by Indian forces, they opened fire. Soon after the area was cordoned off and the sounds of shots were heard intermittently.

Earlier eight of Indian armed forces were martyred in two attacks which took place in Handwara and Pulwama
