Telangana Politics: 6 MLC From BRS Joins Congress At 1 AM In The Morning | ABP News
Six Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) Legislative Council members abruptly joined the Congress late on Thursday in front of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, dealing another blow to the party. Among the MLCs are Egge Mallesham, Basavaraju Saraiah, Dande Vittal, Bhanu Prasad, B. Dayanand, and Prabhakar Rao. The MLCs insistence that they wanted to join before Amavasya, which begins today, was the cause of the midnight development. But they would have to wait until midnight because the Chief Minister was expected to arrive from New Delhi late at night. With their addition, the Congress party would have twelve members in the Council. Six MLCs represent it in the Upper House currently. The number of BRS MLCs has now dropped to 21.
