Supaul investigator to pay Rs 6 lakh for sending innocent behind bars

In a weird incident, Supaul investigator registered a case against a man for killing his wife. The case had the names of his parents too. But the reality was that the wife of the man, Ranjit Paswan, was taken to Delhi by flesh traders. She returned to her village after six months. During this, the police filed a case against Ranjit after recovering the body of another woman, who's still not identified by the police. Now the investigator will have to pay Rs 6 lakh for his fault.
