Solar Eclipse 2019: Why is it being linked to religion?

Parts of world, including India will be able to witness a solar eclipse on today, which will be the last solar eclipse of the decade. The eclipse will be seen as ring of fire around the sun, and in some parts as partial solar eclipse. It will begin at 8.03 am and will last till 1.35 pm. 
A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, thereby totally or partly obscuring the Sun for a viewer on Earth.
