SC on CAA: No interim order, Centre to file response in 4 weeks

Supreme Court of India has refused to pass any interim order on the application of the Citizenship Amendment Act. The 3 judge bench headed by CJI Bobde has asked Centre to file a response to all the petitions against CAA within 4 weeks. The bench also said that no fresh plea will be entertained in the case after today. The apex court will decide at a later date whether a Constitutional bench of the court is needed in the case.
