SC asks Centre to explain pricing of COVID vaccines
Supreme Court on Tuesday started hearing suo motu case of oxygen shortage & other issues related to the management of Covid-19 pandemic.
SC asked that what is center doing about the different prices of the coronavirus vaccine. Supreme Court observes, "At the time of national crisis, this court cannot remain a mute spectator. We intend to play a complimentary role to HCs (high courts). HCs have a valuable role to play."
The Supreme Court on Tuesday gave approval to Vedanta to operate the oxygen production unit at its Sterlite copper plant in Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu.
