Under the leadership of Kisan Mazdoor Morcha and Samyukt Kisan Morcha (non-political), a delegation of 12 farmer leaders from across the country met with opposition leader Rahul Gandhi in Parliament on Wednesday, July 24, to discuss their issues. Congress MPs KC Venugopal, Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Gurjeet Singh Aujla, Dharamvira Gandhi, Dr. Amar Singh, Deepender Singh Hooda, and Jai Prakash were also present. After meeting with the farmer leaders, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said, "We have included MSP with legal guarantee in our manifesto. We have assessed it and found it implementable. In our meeting, we decided to discuss this with other leaders of the INDIA alliance and put pressure on the government to provide a legal guarantee for MSP to the country's farmers."
