A Delhi govt-run hospital Govind Ballabh Pant Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research recently barred its nursing staff from speaking in Malayalam and warned serious action if they do not talk in English or Hindi. However, the medical facility revoked the order after the backlash. Many Congress leaders criticised the order. Party leader Rahul Gandhi called for stopping language discrimination.
