Nirbhaya convicts likely to be hanged in March: Sources

After President Ram Nath Kovind has rejected the mercy petition of the fourth Nirbhaya convict Pawan Gupta, the Tihar Jail administration will now approach court to get a black warrant that will finalise the date to commute the death penalty to all 4 convicts. All legal options have been exercised by the 4 convicts and the road to their hanging is clear. Earlier, three death warrants have been issued by Patiala House Court but they had to be deferred.
