IAS officer Pooja Khedkar, already embroiled in controversy, faces further trouble as another instance of fraud has surfaced. Khedkar allegedly obtained a disability certificate from YCM Hospital in Pimpri, Pune, using a fake address and a ration card as proof. The address provided was that of Thermoverita Engineering, the company under which Khedkar’s Audi car is registered. In August 2022, Khedkar, a 2023 batch probationary IAS officer currently posted in Washim district, obtained a partial 'locomotor disability' certificate. A senior official disclosed this on Tuesday. Khedkar (34) is accused of using fraudulent means to qualify for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination, claiming to be physically challenged and belonging to the Other Backward Class (OBC) community.
