Know how BJP lost seven states in two years
The Aam Aadmi Party swept the Delhi Assembly polls with 62 seats, five less than what it clinched in 2015, as per the final results announced by the Election Commission on Tuesday night. The opposition BJP got eight seats - up from three in 2015, while the Congress remained at zero.
At present NDA is ruling in 16 states. In the last two years, BJP has lost 7 states. In 2018 BJP lost the elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. In 2019 BJP lost two important states, Jharkhand and Maharashtra.
