Jharkhand Election: Voting for first phase begins
The voting for the first phase of elections has begun in Jharkhand. Thirteen seats of six districts have undergone the polling process. The voting will be done in five phases. Today, people will cast their votes from 6 am to 3 pm.
A total of 228 candidates had filed their nomination papers for polls in the first phase. "Twenty-two nomination papers were rejected after scrutiny on Friday, while 17 candidates withdrew their nomination on Saturday," an Election Commission release had said earlier.
