ISI Plot: Punjab Police Busts Pakistan-Backed Terror Modules, Nine Arrested

Punjab Police has claimed to have busted two Pakistan-backed ISI-linked terror modules and arrested nine suspects, including four juveniles. According to police, one module was involved in surveillance activities, allegedly installing cameras near railway tracks to send live feeds across the border. The second module was allegedly preparing petrol bomb attacks and had links to suspects who visited the Jantar Mantar protest site in Delhi. Police said four petrol bombs and three pistols were recovered during the investigation. Officials claimed that Pakistan-based handlers provided support, training, and materials for carrying out attacks targeting security personnel and establishments. Investigators said the suspects were arrested through an intelligence-based operation before they could execute any plan. Police also highlighted that petrol bombs are becoming a new method used by terror modules because they are easier to make and require easily available materials. Authorities said the crackdown prevented a major security incident and further investigation into the network and its cross-border connections is underway.
