Indian army gets American SIG 716 rifles

After a long wait, the Indian Army has got a new assault rifle. This rifle is America's modern 'Sig-Solar 716'. The first consignment of about 10,000 rifles has reached India and the soldiers have started trying on it. The Indian Army last year, in February 2019, signed a deal of 72400 Sig 719 rifles under a fast track agreement with the US. The range of these rifles is about 500 meters with the aim of 'shoot to kill'.
