India is trying its best to fight Covid-19: WHO regional director
The number of coronavirus cases in India has climbed to 147 today, with Maharashtra reporting highest tally followed by Kerala. Of these, 122 are Indian nationals and 25 are foreign nationals.
Central and state governments have scaled up precautionary measures to curb the spread of the deadly virus. Several states have ordered closure of public places including educational institutions, cinema halls and malls till month end.
In the wake of Coronavirus outbreak, India has suspended all the visas, except a few categories. The government has also advised to avoid all non-essential travel.
