IIT Delhi start-up develops multi-layered affordable masks 'Kawach'
Start-up of IIT Delhi has developed multi-layered affordable masks, named 'Kawach' in a fight against coronavirus. Their effectiveness is similar to N-95 masks. The masks cost at Rs 45 (one piece) and as per the team claims, 'Kawach' has an efficiency of 98% with 3-micron particle size. The product efficiency is backed with the strong technical inputs from the core textile team in the Department of Textile and Fibre Engineering, IIT-D.
