How can India counter the locust attack? | Discussion

Farmers across the country are facing swarms of locusts ravaging their harvest. The attack of locusts began in western Rajasthan, where they arrived from across the Pakistan border. Farmers have started using sprays, banging utensils, and using other loud noises to drive them away. But the locusts continue to be a major problem. 

Now, even the aviation sector seems to be affected by the issue as DGCA has said that locust attacks may hamper flight operations.
