Heavy Rainfall Expected to Continue in Mumbai, Leading to Severe Waterlogging and Traffic Disruptions

Monsoon rains continue in Mumbai, causing waterlogging in several areas and creating difficulties for pedestrians and drivers. The rainfall has impacted traffic, with the Andheri Subway being particularly affected, filled with up to five feet of water and subsequently closed. Since this morning, heavy rainfall has been pounding various parts of Mumbai, resulting in water accumulation in many areas. A video of the Andheri Subway shows it submerged in water. Roads in the area are also flooded with three to four feet of water, halting movement. Despite the subway's condition, train services on the bridge above remain operational. Monsoon rains often lead to waterlogging on railway tracks in Mumbai, sometimes slowing down local trains. The Western Expressway and lower areas of Vile Parle are also flooded. The waterlogged streets are causing inconvenience for residents. Authorities are on high alert as more rain is expected in the coming days.
