Govt's take over assault on medics & flight operations | Javedakar Full PC

Union minister Prakash Javadekar on Wednesday briefed media after the cabinet meeting. He said that assault on medics will now be a non-bailable offense, a punishment of up to 7 years will be given to the guilty. A penalty of between Rs 1 Lakhs to Rs 5 Lakhs will be imposed. An ordinance has been passed which will come to effect after President's permit.

Also, when asked about flight operations in India, he said, 'No decision has been taken yet on the resumption of flight operations. An announcement will be made on time as to when it will resume'.
