Flood In UP: Medical College Residential Area Submerged In Shahjahanpur, Rescue Underway | ABP News
The Government Medical College in Shahjahanpur was inundated on Thursday due to the rising water level of the Garra River. Patients are being shifted to another hospital as water reaches the wards. Floodwater from the Khannaut and Garra rivers had already affected several localities in the district, including Lodipur, Indiranagar Colony, and Azizganj. Although the water receded slightly in the Khannaut River, it reached dangerous levels in the Garra River, causing trouble for patients and staff. The CMO has sought help from the Chief Secretary as the administration's response was inadequate. Efforts are underway to rescue people trapped in flooded localities like Awas Vikas Colony and South City.
