Elections over, violence begins in West Bengal
With Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC) returning to power with absolute majority for a third term, violence allegedly broke out in several places across West Bengal on Sunday.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader B.L. Santhosh lambasted the ruling party in the state over the violent incidents stating it’s a “sign of things to come with possible” TMC victory in the state.
He claimed that houses were attacked and offices burnt besides the women workers being beaten up following the violence in Arambagh, Bishnupur, Entally, Howrah and Bolpur.
