Delhi Water Crisis Worsens: People Queue Up Near Water Tankers To Fill Water | ABP News
Each summer, Delhi grapples with a worsening water crisis exacerbated by rising temperatures in the national capital. Reports from various localities in Delhi show long queues of people waiting for water tankers to fulfill their daily water needs. In East Delhi's Geeta Colony area, residents queue up near water tankers as the shortage of water supply persists. Similarly, in the Govindpuri area, water is being supplied to residents through tankers amidst the ongoing water supply shortage in Delhi.
Delhi's Water Minister, Atishi, has alleged that the number of water tankers deployed by the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) was reduced without her knowledge or approval. She raised concerns about possible collusion between the CEO of DJB, the chief secretary, and the tanker mafia, suggesting that this move could have benefited illegal private tankers.
