Delhi restaurants see dip in profit as onion prices soar
ABP News investigated the effect of rising prices of onions, which form the base of any curry that most of the Indians prepare. Now that the vegetable is being sold at Rs 120 per kg in Delhi, many restaurants feel a dip in their profits. A food truck owner talked to ABP News and told that customers demand curries with enough onions which was why he had to buy more of the vegetable despite rising prices
