On Wednesday, the Delhi High Court heard a petition demanding a high-level inquiry into the Old Rajinder Nagar coaching incident. The Court expressed frustration over the shifting of responsibility among officials, questioning whether the police are investigating the role of MCD officials.

Acting Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela directed the Delhi Police to submit a report on the matter by Thursday. They also instructed that the MCD Commissioner be present at the hearing. The Court emphasized the need to address encroachments on the drainage system, suggesting that direct field inspections by MCD officials might lead to improvements.
