In Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, Congress leader Pramod Tiwari spoke about the first meeting of the Joint Parliamentary Committee regarding the 'One Nation, One Election' proposal. He stated, 'It was the BJP's ambition to change the Indian Constitution and implement 'One Election, One Nation.' After that, they planned to gradually move towards 'One Party, One Election,' and eventually 'One Leader, One Nation.' However, the public has thwarted their plans. The opposition is so strong that we will not allow them to carry out their agenda unchecked.' Tiwari emphasized that the opposition's unity would ensure that the government cannot impose its will without proper scrutiny or consent.
