Prime Minister Modi also switched off the lights of his residence and lit a lamp. PM Modi also joined the nation in the 9 minutes diwali initiative after his appeal in the address to the nation. After his appeal to switch off the lights and lighting diyas for 9 minutes at 9 pm the whole nation came out in full support of this initiative. Even Union Home Mnister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also became a part of this 9 minutes light off initiative.
