Amid rising tensions, security has been increased at Avimukteshwaranand’s Prayagraj camp. His followers have installed around ten internet-connected CCTV cameras to monitor all movements, citing safety concerns. The Shankaracharya’s dharna has now entered its seventh day. Meanwhile, the political dimension has deepened. Opposition leaders, including Samajwadi Party’s Shivpal Yadav, accused the BJP of interfering in religious traditions and using Sanatan Dharma for political narratives, further escalating the debate.
