Breaking News: Baba Ramdev Supports UP's Shop Owners' Name Rule for Kanwar Yatra Amid Controversy

The controversy surrounding the Uttar Pradesh government's decision to mandate the display of shop owners' real names along the Kanwar Yatra route shows no sign of subsiding. The latest to weigh in on the debate is yoga guru Baba Ramdev, who has expressed his support for the decision, stating that there is nothing wrong with it. In an interview with the news agency ANI, Baba Ramdev emphasized that India is under the global spotlight, and if he has no issues revealing his identity, then neither should others, including those with Muslim names like Rahman. He asserted that both Hindus and Muslims should be transparent about their identities, affirming that all deities are the same and there should be no difficulty in maintaining one's identity. Ramdev also urged Kanwariyas to act with understanding and maintain discipline, encouraging them to embody the values of Sanatan Dharma in their behavior. Baba Ramdev did not stop there; he also addressed the political backlash against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s decision. He suggested that the opposition's criticism is politically motivated, noting that even Prime Minister Narendra Modi faces similar opposition. According to Ramdev, the criticism against Adityanath’s decision reflects broader political agendas and attempts to undermine constitutional authority.
