Breaking: Engineer Rashid Arrives in Srinagar—Rally Scheduled for 10 AM in Baramulla | ABP News

A Delhi court is set to deliver its verdict on October 5 regarding Lok Sabha MP Sheikh Abdul Rashid’s regular bail application. Rashid, also known as Engineer Rashid, faces charges in a terror funding case. On Tuesday, Additional Sessions Judge Chander Jit Singh granted Rashid interim bail, enabling him to participate in campaigning for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. Rashid has been in custody since 2019 after being detained by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, as part of a 2017 investigation into terror funding. Rashid’s arrest is part of a larger investigation into terror financing in Kashmir, which the NIA began in 2017. His involvement came to light during the probe into Kashmiri businessman Zahoor Watali. Rashid’s case remains a key component of the NIA’s efforts to tackle terror funding networks in the region.
