Union Minister Suresh Gopi is suddenly in the headlines. Actually, Suresh Gopi has allegedly called former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi 'Mother of India' and late Congress Chief Minister K. Karunakaran a "courageous administrator". According to a report by news agency PTI, Gopi, the first BJP MP from Kerala, said that Karunakaran and Marxist stalwart EK Nayanar are his "political gurus". He said this while speaking to reporters after visiting Karunakaran's memorial "Murali Mandiram" located in Punkunnam. The BJP leader said that he has come to the Karunakaran memorial to pay tribute to his "guru". He urged media persons not to give any political meaning to his visit.
