Bihar: Under construction bridge collapses before inauguration

A bridge being constructed at Dighalbank in Kishanganj district at a cost of 1 crore 42 lakh has been demolished. Actually, the bridge could not withstand the strong currents and collapsed.

The swollen Kanakai river has taken the rural areas of Seemanchal in its grip. The bridge was going to be inaugurated in Kishanganj, but before the inauguration, the bridge under construction was washed away.
