Bihar Toxic Alcohol Crisis: Seven Dead In Siwan, One In Chapra; Families Blame Poisonous Liquor | ABP News

A severe crisis has erupted in Bihar due to toxic alcohol consumption, with reports indicating seven deaths in Siwan and one in Chapra. In Siwan's Maghar village, the victims succumbed after drinking poisonous liquor, with over 12 others hospitalized and receiving treatment at the sadar hospital. Families claim their loved ones fell ill after consuming the alcohol. However, local authorities have not officially confirmed the cause of death as alcohol-related. In Chapra, a person from the Mashrak police station area also died, and two others lost their eyesight. While the police are investigating the consumption of intoxicants, they have not confirmed that alcohol was involved. There are ongoing reports from various locations in Bihar, but authorities attribute the deaths to other toxic substances rather than alcohol.
