Amid confusion, Centre issues new guidelines on opening shops
Amid confusion over which kind of shops can be allowed to open during the lockdown, the Centre has issued a new set of guidelines. In these guidelines, it has been made clear that liquor shops in general and the shops in areas marked as Coronavirus hotspots will remain shut. The guidelines also said that states will take a final call on whether shops can remain open.
Meanwhile, CAIT and other trader associations have made it clear that they won't open shops until clarification on these guidelines is issued by state governments.
