Heavy rain in Mumbai, Andheri subway flooded | Ground Report

Monsoon horror continues in Mumbai. The first monsoon rains hit Maharashtra and Mumbai with full fury on Wednesday, disrupting local trains and road traffic, and flooding low-lying areas in the country's commercial capital, officials said. Sparking concerns, Maharashtra's daily Covid-19 deaths shot up to a new peak, above the 2,000 level, while new infections remained above the 11,000-mark for the second consecutive day, health officials said on Friday.
