Gavaskar expresses concern over students taking studies for granted

Former India cricketer Sunil Gavaskar on Saturday said the country is "in turmoil and some of our youngsters are out on the streets instead of being in their classrooms." In his opening remarks at an event, he said: "The country is in turmoil. Some of our youngsters are out on the streets instead of being in their classrooms. Some of them are ending up in hospitals for being out on the streets."
"Admittedly, the majority is still in classrooms trying to forge a career and build and take India forward," he said.
