Detention of Omar Abdullah under PSA revoked
Detention of National Conference leader Omar Abdullah under Public Safety Act (PSA) has been revoked. Mehbooba Mufti might also be freed in the near future. Omar Abdullah became the 11th and the youngest Chief Minister of the State of Jammu and Kashmir, after forming a government in coalition with the Congress party, on 5 January 2009. He has been in detention since 5 August 2019.
