Delhi polls: Shaheen Bagh becomes electoral battleground

The blockade at Shaheen Bagh has become a campaigning issue for the Delhi Legislative Assembly election in the first week of February. Over the past few days, different leaders from different political parties have branded the Shaheen Bagh protest and protesters sitting there, to build a narrative to wring a consolidation of votes in their favour.

While BJP has appealed the voters to help the BJP make a Delhi where "there is no Shaheen Bagh", Kejriwal and other AAP leaders on the other hand, have appeared more cautious in raising Shaheen Bagh protest.

With the AAP and the Congress treading with caution over Shaheen Bagh protest, the BJP has pinned its hope on the Shaheen Bagh protest this Delhi election.
