Coronavirus impact markets, Dow Jones falls 1200 points

US markets saw the biggest sell-off in over a decade on Thursday with the Dow Jones Industrial Average plunging by 1,191 points to close at 25,767. Most of the 30 Dow component companies closed in red territory, with Microsoft and Dow shedding 7.05 per cent and 6.61 per cent, respectively, leading the laggards.

In India, At 9.50 a.m., the BSE Sensex was trading at 38,597.53, lower by 1,148.13 points or 2.89 per cent from the previous close of 39,745.66.
