Just before the Maharashtra Assembly elections, Uddhav Thackeray is being projected as the face for the post of Chief Minister by Shiv Sena UBT, a constituent of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut recently surprised everyone by saying that Uddhav Thackeray could be the face for the post of Chief Minister for the upcoming assembly elections. However, Sharad Pawar has put an end to this discussion.

Sharad Pawar said on his Kolhapur tour that the Maha Vikas Aghadi is the face for the post of CM and the Maha Vikas Aghadi has community leadership and hence there can be no talk of any one face here. The collective leadership will be our face. Sharad Pawar has also denied Uddhav Thackeray being the face for the post of Chief Minister.
