Black Fungus declared epidemic in 6 States & 1 UT

Yogi Adityanath Government of Uttar Pradesh has declared Black Fungus disease as as epidemic. The disease has been declared epidemic in 6 States and 1 Union Territory, including, Gujarat, Telangana, Rajasthan, Assam, Odisha, Punjab and Chandigarh. Union Health Ministry has requested the states and Union Territories to mention Black Fungus  in the Notified Disease category under the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897.
